NCIDQ Elects 2009 Board of DirectorsJanuary 15, 2009 WASHINGTON, DC—The National Council for Interior Design Qualification, Inc. (NCIDQ) announces its Board of Directors for 2009. The Board, made up primarily of interior designers, ensures NCIDQ's mission of protecting the health, life safety and welfare of the public by establishing standards of competence in the practice of interior design are upheld. There are eight Directors, including a President, President-Elect, Past President, four Directors and one Public Member. The President, President-Elect and Past President each serve a one-year term for each position and are elected by NCIDQ's Council of Delegates. All other Directors are elected to serve two-year terms by the Delegates. The 2009 NCIDQ President is Deborah Steinmetz, an interior designer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Kimberly Marks, an interior designer from San Antonio, Texas, will serve as President-Elect, and Sandra Friend, an interior designer from Ashland, Oregon, will serve as Past President. Serving with them are the four interior designers: Patty Blaser (Lincroft, New Jersey), Kim Ciesynski (Sparks, Nevada), Mary Jane Grigsby (Port St. Lucie, Florida) and Suzy Regitz (West Chicago, Illinois), as well as the Public Member, Jimmy Brothers (Decatur, Alabama).
