CIDA Needs Your Input
The
Council for Interior Design Accreditation
(CIDA) needs your help to shape the future of
interior design education!
CIDA is using electronic surveys to get input
from all who share a stake in the future of the
profession. The first survey will help define the
broad scope of performance expectations of
entry-level interior design practice.
A second survey, planned for August, will zero
in on more specific quality assurance measures for
undergraduate education.
We encourage all NCIDQ Certificate holders to
participate in these surveys. CIDA needs input
from:
- Interior designers
- Employers of interior design graduates
- Interior design educators
- Higher education administrators
- Related industry professionals
Help raise the bar for interior design
education! Go to http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB226MDEQPWJT
to share your expertise.
The survey deadline is Monday, July 16.

Visit NCIDQ's New Blog
NCIDQ is embarking on an exciting project to
create a new work environment for our professional
staff in Washington, DC. And you can follow our
progress through our new blog!
As we go through the design process for our new
office space, we will document it with photos and
contributions from NCIDQ staff and the design
team.
We hope you'll share our blog address with your
students and entry-level employees. By tracking
the process from beginning to end, we'll shed
light on what professional interior designers do
every day on the job. We also want to show why
regulation and credentialing of interior designers
is necessary for the health, safety and welfare of
the public.
Stay tuned as our blog develops in the coming
months!
